The Technology Section and Gartner have collaborated in the past two years to understand the relationship between actuarial and IT departments. Several factors, including new technologies, an increasingly complex role for actuaries and a lack of strong operating model between IT and actuarial, are creating a perfect storm for actuarial departments.
