Care management programs have traditionally been designed and managed by clinical personnel.
However, as they become more expensive and healthcare costs continue to escalate, actuaries are
becoming more involved in the design and assessment of these programs. Panelists in this session
cover:
• The use of predictive models in identifying appropriate cases;
• Understanding the interventions and their value; and
• The role of data and technology in improving outcomes.
