The 2009 meeting theme is "Taking You Higher" - and through the educational proposals we receive, we hope to do just that. We're looking for original ideas that will challenge traditional standards and established practices, with new program models and practical solutions. The ASHRM Annual Conference & Exhibition will include four days of educational programming held October 22-25, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. The conference consists of concurrent sessions organized into six educational tracks. The tracks include Claims and Litigation, which provides trends in hospital, long-term care, physician liability & claims management tools and techniques, Enterprise Risk Management, which provides new approaches and successful tools to effectively manage risks enterprise-wide, Legal & Regulatory, which will update attendees on laws and regulations, Patient Safety, which highlights new approaches to improve care, Risk Financing, where concepts for identifying exposures and reducing the total cost of insuring risk is provided and new this year, Leadership Development which will provide sessions that focus solely on developing the leadership skills of risk managers and core leadership principles and practices that drive culture, performance, and individual advancement and success. The meeting will be preceded by several days of pre-conference seminars and continues with three keynote presentations, several days of concurrent sessions, an annual business meeting, formal and informal networking receptions, and a trade show.
Each year the ASHRM Annual Conference & Exhibition attracts approximately 2,000 industry professionals to its conference. The mission of ASHRM is to advance safe and trusted patient-centered health care delivery, ASHRM promotes proactive and innovative management of organization-wide risk.
