Description
Want to make changes that last? System enhancements without changes to business processes may end in disaster. How can you capture business needs and the processes that must take place, both in the system and in your office, to facilitate change? It is important to have a process that leverages the database to respond and adjust to constantly evolving business needs. When the University of Chicago began prioritizing interdisciplinary fundraising activities, a University-wide data group was created and charged with addressing these needs. A holistic approach to this problem included a thorough review of existing processes and how they were supported (or not supported) by Advance Web 9.4. Data group members Emily Walsh (Prospect Management), David Sendre (User Relations), and Bond Lammey (Prospect Research) will walk attendees through their approach and the changes and enhancements to processes and systems that resulted. If you are an IT professional charged with meeting the business needs of an Advancement Support team or fundraising operation, or if you are a member of an Advancement Support team, come and learn how to conduct functional analyses for all areas of your operation and apply these analyses to improve organizational efficiency.
