After over four years of wishing, hoping, and planning South Florida Community College (SFCC) purchased Luminis IV in August 2009. The project included integration of Banner with the college's LMS Desire2Learn. We had excellent SunGard Higher Education and Desire2Learn consultants and the full support of all SFCC constituents. The project was completed in 8 months and Panther Central went live on May 24, 2010. The project could not have been completed without the collaborative efforts of SunGard Higher Education, Desire2Learn, and SFCC faculty, staff and students.
As much as we would like to say the implementation and go-live were perfect, we found that it was the small, simple, should have known or should have researched issues that caused the bump in the otherwise smooth implementation and go-live. This session will present Lessons Learned from both a functional and technical perspective.
