Business Process Analysis (BPA): Worth the Time and Effort (4129)
Track: Universal Interest
Program Code: 4129
LEAD PRESENTER / PANEL ORGANIZER / BOF LEADER :
Sue Jennings, Director of Information Systems, Pacific Lutheran University
Description
Business Process Analysis (BPA) workshops examine business processes within and across departments. The results of theses examinations have the potential for increasing the effectiveness and efficiencies within departments. These workshops are typically done during the implementation cycle, however, they are beneficial whether you are implementing a new technology, just finished implementing a new technology, or have been using that technology for years.

BPAs give you the structure to evaluate current processes for possible improvements and to help identify training needs. This presentation will give you some guidelines on how to justify the resource investments, conduct the workshops, and how to follow up effectively.
