Program Code: 4681
LEAD PRESENTER / PANEL ORGANIZER / BOF LEADER :
Suzanne Kissel, Academic Director, Sungard Higher Education
Description
Attracting international students to enroll in online community college degree programs requires partnerships. This presentation will describe steps a community college should take in selecting a four-year partner and what are realistic expectations for these partnerships. Regis University and Fort Hayes State University will be used as examples to highlight the collaborative approach they use with community colleges to attract international students. Partnership elements discussed will include the contract, marketing including web sites, the curriculum (3+1 and 2+2), communications, faculty training, student support, and course development considerations. Participants will be provided with a check list of the major considerations for both the two- and four-year partners.
