You've increasingly heard the term used in our nonprofit industry. But just what is Six Sigma? Is it something that we can use? Can I or should I implement Six Sigma at my shop? What tools does Six Sigma offer that can help me? How does it differ from other process improvement approaches? These questions and more will be asked and answered in Six Sigma 101. This presentation is designed to provide participants with a general understanding of Six Sigma, its concepts, and capabilities as well as some practical ideas that you can carry back with you. We will also review several of the core tools used in Six Sigma that are applicable to our industry. Here is some helpful pre-work for participants. Watch a couple of episodes of Law & Order. Not required but will give you a head start on learning the Six Sigma way!
