Do you wish you had a catalog of all the reports available in Cognos? Do you wish you could embed your report definition/change-log into the report specification itself? This session will demonstrate how IBM Cognos report templates can be customized to include a report definition and change log. This definition and change log appears on each new report design, but does not print alongside the reported information. The page is then extracted from each report to build a comprehensive report definition library or catalog. The process is somewhat technical, but this session will take participants through each required step. Examples/handouts of the documents current used by TCC will be available for review. The resulting report catalog can be compiled in a searchable pdf, which resides inside the Cognos reporting environment.
