This session will discuss the incidence of resistance to novel targeted agents in the clinic, the known and putative mechanisms underlying such resistance and approaches to prevent and/or circumvent such resistance. At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to do the following:
1. Explain resistance to targeted therapies
2. Discuss known mechanisms of resistance to targeted agents
3. Explain approaches to circumventing resistance
