Description
This session will focus on the practical aspects of contouring and treatment planning for lung cancer. We will discuss standard imaging and planning as well as focus on emerging technologies relevant to the clinician and physicists planning thoracic cases. At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to do the following: 1. Discuss the utility of imaging in non-small cell lung cancer planning. 2. Create the PTV (organ motion and patient setup). 3. Discuss planning for cure (IMRT and dose-volume constraints).
