Learning Objectives
• Identify each of the key components of the curriculum necessary for accreditation preparations
• Learn how to best integrate national accreditation standards used to evaluate curriculum elements of dental and dental hygiene schools
• View and "test drive" the web-based curriculum-mapping tool that is successfully being used in the School of Dental Hygiene and the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba
• Identify trends, overlaps, and challenges in preparation for accreditation
• Learn how to evaluate and report their competency-based curriculum in preparation for a successful accreditation outcome and strategic planning purposes
• Have opportunities to share innovative curriculum mapping assessment best practices and their experiences as well as have questions addressed by the facilitators

Based on best practices and guided by current education literature on curriculum mapping, this presentation will provide administrators, educational developers, and faculty with an electronic tool that can be used to evaluate and report their competency-based curriculum in preparation fora successful accreditation outcome and strategic planning purposes.
