Charles Fuchs, Director, Center for Gastroinestinal Cancer, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
I have conducted research in gastric cancer for 20 years, direct the GI Program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and lead the recent national trial of adjuvant therapy for gastric cancer.
Harvey Mamon, Assistant Professor, Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
This is Dr. Mamon's fourth year co-teaching the ASTRO refresher course on gastric cancer. He is the Clinical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he has specialized in the treatment of GI malignancies for over ten years. Dr. Mamon is an active member of the CALGB Gastrointestinal Cancer Committee, and he is currently responsible for the radiation quality assurance of CALGB 80101, a randomized trial of two different chemoradiation regimens in the adjuvant therapy of gastric cancer.
Richard Swanson, M.D., Associate Professor of Surgery, Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital
Dr. Richard Swanson currently serves as the Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts.
He is affiliated with the following hospitals or institutions:
Surgical Oncologist, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, Active Staff in Surgical Services, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Courtesy Staff, Faulkner Hospital, Associate Surgeon, Brigham and Women's Hospital. He serves on numerous major national and state committees such as the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group as well as Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer Control Advisory Committee. He has also received numerous awards such as The Frederick J. McCready, M.D. Teacher of the Year Award Presented by Surgical Residents in 1995 and was

He has written a vast number of articles, review, chapters and editorials regarding various areas of gastrointestinal surgery and oncology.
