I have conducted extensive research related to radiation-induced normal tissue injury. I have received grants and have written many papers on this topic. I have conducted research and development in the area of quality assurance and education.

25 years on the faculty at the University of Michigan Department of Radiation Oncology where I have been involved with numerous dose escalation and normal tissue toxicity studies. Nearly 100 previous extramural invited presentations on various aspects of medical physics as applied to radiation oncology. More than 150 peer-reviewed publications in medical physics and radiation oncology.
