Dr. Okunieff, with the assistance of the radiation oncology Fellows, is responsible for introducing and developing new innovative techniques, and supervising the Orange Service, which includes high dose brachytherapy, 3D treatment planning, and stereotactic radiosurgery. Clinical protocols include an oligometastasis protocol for curative radiosurgical treatment of metastatic breast cancer. He also directs the RTOG Office at the University of Rochester with five affiliated hospitals around the country. He is the Translational Research Chair of the RTOG.
Dr. Okunieff's major research interest is the role that growth factors and cytokines play in ameliorating or promoting radiation toxicity.

Sean Bydder, Radiation Oncologist,

Professor Sean Bydder is Director of Radiation Oncology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, Australia. Other roles include chairing the advisory committee to the Cancer Learning project, a website www.cancerlearning.gov.au which houses continuing learning resources for health professionals involved in cancer. With respect to liver metastases he was the lead author for the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG)'s phase 2 study examining two-fraction courses of radiotherapy for palliation. He obtained his medical degrees from the University of Auckland (BHB, MBChB) and specialist qualification (FRANZCR) from the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologists. He also has a MBA from Imperial College, London which included a research component examining the value of multidisciplinary meetings in lung cancer .

Member of the ASTRO/ESTRO/CARO/TROG Consensus Panel on Palliative Radiotherapy 2009, board member of the Scandinavian Prostate Cancer Group and the Danish Danish Multidisciplinary Cancer Group (Uro-oncology). Consultant and assistant professor at Aarhus University Hospital.
