I am a specialist in pediatric neuro-oncology and I have directed 3 academic programs in Manhattan (MSKCC, Beth Israel and NYU) over the past 30 years. I have written several protocols for COG and CCG as the PI and I have contributed extensively to the literature in terms of exploratory clinical trials and descriptive aspects of childhood brain tumors. I have trained over 15 fellows in pediatric neuro-oncology. I have collaborated closely with the NorthEast Proton Beam Facility at the MGH over the past 8 years. I am presently Director of Neuro-oncology of the NYU Cancer Institute.

Dr. Torunn Yock received her undergraduate degree in genetics and ethics from Duke University followed by her masters degree in health care delivery systems from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and M.D from Harvard Medical School.
Her research interests include image guided radiotherapy; Acute and late effects of radiation therapy; proton radiotherapy; Improving conformality of radiation treatment, Pediatric sarcomas and brain tumors; Imaging endpoints for radiation effects on normal tissue and tumor, Childrens Oncology Group, and Late Effects and Quality of Life in cancer survivors.
