In this session, we will discuss the roles of different treatment modalities, including surgery, chemotherapy (both induction and second line) and radiation therapy in the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to do the following: 1. Discuss the surgical options and decision making process for patients with MPM. 2. Discuss the standard of care chemotherapy options as well as investigational therapies currently being studied. 3. Discuss the multimodality treatments available for patients with MPM.
