Description
IMRT contouring for gynecologic malignancies has been important in reducing treatment related toxicities including those involving the bowel, bladder, bone and bone marrow. The course will review the basis and rationale for current contouring guidelines and compare different contouring approaches of two leading experts in the field. At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to do the following: 1. Identify basic anatomy in the cases presented and understand normal tissue dose constraints and target dose objectives. 2. To describe the rationale for current contouring approaches for common clinical scenarios. 3. Define the GTV, CTV and PTV for endometrial and cervix cancers. 4. Compare contours of leading experts and their nuances.
