Description
The Research Panel is proud to sponsor the 2008 World EAP Conference's Research Roundtable. As always, the Roundtable will employ its usual rapid fire format. Each panelist is allowed 8-10 minutes to state and support their positions. The goal is to be concise, thoughtful and provocative. Lively discussion and out of the box thinking are always encouraged. This year the Roundtable will focus on the case for evidence-based practice. Accordingly, a distinguished panel of academics, researchers and practitioners has been assembled to explore and discuss why evidence based practice makes a difference for the world of employee assistance.

Objectives:
• describe the basic principles of evidence-based practice;
• become an active participant in the knowledge building process;
• promote collaboration between practitioners and researchers.
