Description
With the expansion in gaming venues across the U.S. the incidence of problem gambling has increased. Recently, the Gaming Industry has addressed the issue of problem gambling. This presentation will focus on the development of Responsible Gambling Programs (RGP). As the behavioral health experts in the workplace, EA professionals must be equipped to identify individuals struggling with problem gambling. Information will be presented to increase your awareness and ablity to identify problem gambling, provide you with up-dated resources which may otherwise be difficult to find, and provide a RGP template designed to increase EA service effectiveness with the problem gambler.

Objectives:
• describe increased incidence of problem gambling and the gaming industry's response;
• explain Responsible Gambling Programs to the problem gambler; and
• encourage utilization of these programs as part of an overall recovery plan.
