Description
As stakeholders in gifted education, it’s easy to get discouraged; in the face of budget woes and public apathy, it can be difficult to provide gifted students with the high quality educational opportunities they need and deserve. What to do? In this session, look at the community-organizing movement for inspiration. Rather than focusing on deficits, learn to systematically plumb the assets around you, identify resources in your surroundings, and implement and sustain initiatives that support and engage gifted students.
