Mark Hankewycz, CPP, M.AEI, BSCP, Principal of Security Services, The Protection Engineering Group, PC

Mark M. Hankewycz is the principal of security services for The Protection Engineering Group, a consulting and engineering firm providing security, life safety, and fire protection services. Mr. Hankewycz brings 22 years of experience as a security professional where he has applied his expertise in planning and implementing integrated electronic security systems such as automated access control, intrusion detection and closed circuit television. He has comprehensive experience in security management best practices such as guard force management, anti- terrorism/force protection, policy and procedure development and has achieved a proven track record for safeguarding assets, investigations, executive protection, risk and threat analysis, security surveys, emergency and disaster planning, continuity of operations (COOP) planning. Mr. Hankewycz is an associate member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and a member of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). He is a board Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). Mr. Hankewycz is a member for the NFPA national committee on Premise Security and is also a committee member for the Architectural & Engineering Institute (AEI), Building Security Council (BSC) Council. Mr. Hankewycz has managed security and safety programs for a variety of Fortune 500 companies and several federal, local and county government agencies. He currently advises architects, professional associations, property managers, insurance firms, the government and other clients on security risk mitigation, state-of-the-art security technology, architectural security design and engineering applications. He has also successfully used Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) techniques and performance based design criteria, has developed and written security master, emergency preparedness and disaster recovery plans, conducted numerous security threat and vulnerability assessments and has performed multiple liability assessments for clients.
