Description
Increased use of electronic equipment within healthcare has resulted in reports suggesting a potential for cross-infection. First, will be a description of the equipment involved and pathways for contamination. Then, there will be a discussion of the benefits of engineering and work practice controls, PPE use, barriers and disinfection.;Objectives: • list manners in which electronic equipment contamination occurs • describe the types of microorganisms that could be present • untilize specific methods for reducing/eliminating microbial contamination.
