Traditional contact precautions create barriers to behavioral health (BH) treatment. An algorithm for Modified Contact Precautions (MCP) was developed to assess the MDRO patient clinically and behaviorally. This modified contact precaution risk assessment tool can be applied to a variety of health care settings where group activities are an integral component of care.
