An important intervention to reduce central line infections is removal of the catheter when no longer needed. The presenters will highlight the work of a multidisciplinary team to develop criteria for line removal, implementation of a daily reminder in the electronic health record for criteria review, and monitoring by IV team personnel to assure prompt removal of lines.;Objectives: *Describe a process to determine central line discontinuation criteria *Critique electronic or manual methods of tracking central lines *List methods of staff education to increase compliance with the proper insertion and care of central lines
