Infections including those caused by multi-drug resistant organisms are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in hemodialysis patients. The presenter will describe newly established national infection control requirements for outpatient;Objectives: *Recognize common lapses in infection control that have contributed to disease transmission in dialysis settings *List new national infection prevention and control requirements *Identify several important prevention measures or best practices that can reduce the burden of infections in dialysis patients dialysis facilities and highlight essential infection control needs for these settings.
