Description
The pediatric population provides unique challenges. The presenters will discuss specific diseases, isolation precautions, environmental issues and the relation of these to pediatric disaster planning.;Objectives: • List a minimum of two bacterial and viral infections that pose special challenges in the pediatric population. • Identify appropriate isolation precautions based on the syndromic presentation and/or disease. • Recognize the need for consideration of pediatrics during disaster planning.
