Elimination of MRSA transmission in hospitals has assumed increasing importance with public reporting, legislation for mandatory testing, and "getting to zero." The presenter will address the progress of elimination of MRSA transmission.;Objectives: *Discuss the external factors impacting control of MRSA in hospitals. *List at least three actions that infection preventionists can take to reduce MRSA. *Identify three barriers to elimination of MRSA transmission and discuss ways to overcome them.
