Diane Wold received her PhD in Statistics from UNC-Chapel Hill. She joined Burroughs Wellcome in 1984 as a project statistician held a variety of positions, leading to her current role in Data Standards at GSK. Since 2002, she has been active in CDISC, and currently co-leads a SHARE team.

Dave Iberson-Hurst provides consultancy on the practical use of metadata to drive clinical research and is seen as a thought leader in the data standards arena. Dave has worked closely with CDISC, FDA, HL7, ISO, IHE and other organisations that promote electronic processes for clinical research.

Description
This session provides an orientation to the thinking behind the CDISC SHARE project metadata library and how this method can support computable semantic interoperability (CSI), regulatory requirements and therapeutic area standards development.
