I'm an academic cardiologist with 30 years of clinical trial experience primarily in the areas of epidemiology, vascular disease, congestive heart failure and cardiac imaging. I am Vice President and Therapeutic Lead in Cardiovascular/Metabolic Disease at Covance Inc. in Princeton, NJ.
Steffan Ekman has a MSc in Pharmacy from the University of Uppsala Sweden. He has more than 30 years of International experience in Pharmaceutical Industry. His main expertise is in planning, set-up, execution and reporting of Cardiovascular Outcome trials.

Description
The costs of performing large cardiovascular outcomes trials is prohibitive and constraining to development of new molecular entities. We will describe novel electronic techniques that can add to trial rigor and efficiency while reducing costs.
