Description
With the number of international students matriculated in U.S. colleges topping 500,000 for the last eight years, and the continuing emphasis on internationalizing higher education, many career counselors are challenged to redefine their understanding of multicultural counseling, the concept of a global campus, and the unique issues international students face. Examine counseling strategies and career interventions specific to this target population. Discuss the career development professional's role in engaging international students on-campus, implementing effective counseling techniques and strategies, and assisting the transition to the global work force—domestically and internationally. Learn about successful collaborative initiatives between career services and international student service offices, faculty, and employers.
