Description
Does a student from Chile approach career decision making in the same way as a student from China? If you're American, how much in common do you have with a German? Do you see occupations in the same way? Do you have a different perception of employers? Are your expectations of what a career services office can offer wildly different from the reality of your host institution? Explore primary research conducted by the London School of Economics Careers Service with its international students and the institutional responses to such international diversity. Is it possible to cater for such different expectations or is there more common ground than you might expect? To what extent should nondomestic students fit in with the "way things are around here?" The session will conclude with a case study of how Citi approaches cultural diversity in its international graduate recruitment.
