Description
While the educational achievements and technical skills of Asian international students are often top notch, their knowledge of how to interact with U.S. recruiters and the related nuances of communication necessary for a successful job interview is often lacking. Career services practitioners how to better prepare Asian candidates for the cultural protocol of the U.S. job interview. Employers will examine the cultural influences which may prevent them from hiring top candidates of Asian ethnicity. Participants will explore a model of collaboration between university career services staff and a corporate affinity group in addressing these issues.
