Description
The Millennial Generation developed during a period of nearly unprecedented economic growth both for the general economy and, in particular, for the college job market. That period of growth and the "seller's market" in college hiring has come to screeching halt. This year's class is the first in some time to face a difficult job market with the prospect of a long and frustrating job search culminating in a potentially much lower outcome. How are students from the Millennial Generation responding? Have they modified their career plans; their expectations from the job; their search strategies or techniques; and/or their perspective on what constitutes a good job or a preferred employer? The presentation addresses these questions from the perspective of approximately 30,000 students who responded to the 2009 NACE Student Survey.
