Description
The National Internship and Co-op Study, conducted through a grant from the NACE Foundation, is the first study of its kind to measure student expectations and experiences of internship and co-op programs on national, state, and regional levels. Data collected from more than 100,000 students at 420 universities is used in this best practices presentation that will guide both universities and employers looking to build best-in-class internship programs. The presentation will offer approaches to improve existing internship and co-op programs by focusing on the main participants: the students. The data speaks to all of the facets of an internship program including reasons to host internship programs, structure, recruitment, interviewing, selection, compensation, benefits, supervisors, evaluations, legal aspects, and much more.
