Description
Many institutions have initiatives focusing on first-year and senior-year experiences, but nothing (or little) for students in their second and third years. The University of Connecticut developed Explore, a four-semester, intensive career development program for these students as they choose a major or career path. The program takes students through the entire career development process, from making major/career decisions to networking and job searching to transitioning from student to professional. Through one-on-one personalized career coaching and group workshops, Explore helps students learn to make decisions and develop the skills necessary to obtain an internship by the end of their third year. Get an overview of the program, including development, target audience, curriculum, employer participation, assessment, and outcomes.
