Description
This intensive two-day workshop is designed to examine learning disorders from a brain-based educational perspective. There will be a discussion of various subtypes of reading, written language, and mathematics disorders in children, with numerous evidence based interventions offered to address each subtype. A hybrid neuropsychological assessment model, deemed the 90-minute learning disorder's evaluation, will provide practitioners with a multimethod approach to assessment by integrating the tenets of both norm-referenced testing and curriculum-based measurement. The use of neuropsychological assessment within a four-tiered response-to-intervention model will be featured as the primary means to assess and remediate learning disorders in children.
