LEAD PRESENTER / PANEL ORGANIZER / BOF LEADER :

Description
Banner General 8.5, Self-Service General 8.5 and Web Tailor 8.5 delivered a new capability called Proxy Access. A Self-Service Banner (SSB) user can now delegate access to their SSB pages to a proxy identified by an e-mail address or to another SSB user. This session explores the capabilities of Proxy Access and talks through the configuration of options and settings available to customize Proxy Access for your campus.
Another component delivered with Proxy Access is a generalized match-n-load capability. For example, some schools may want to load proxy profile (parent demographics) data into the General Person and/or Advancement tables. They may also want to use the parent proxy profile as a mechanism for keeping their parent data up-to-date. We will show a couple ways to accomplish that goal using various levels of automation.
Q & A time will be available to address additional issues not covered in the presentation.
