Description
This program will continue last years introductory review of the antibodies of the various blood group systems. The initial presentation will review both in-vitro and in-vivo characteristics of clinically important antibodies. This information will then be applied in a detailed review of the antibodies that are reactive with the antigens of the Kidd and Cartwright blood groups.

  • List three characteristics associated with a clinically significant alloantibody.
  • Name three clinically important antibodies associated with antigens of the Kidd and Cartwright blood group systems.
  • Write a policy plan describing management of patients with clinically significant alloantibodies when antigen-negative red cell donor units are unavailable.
