Description
There are many new discoveries made every year in the field of human blood groups as they relate to finding serologically compatible blood for transfusion. This program will provide up-to-date information on new blood group antigens, alleles and issues related to screening blood for transfusion.

  • Describe molecular testing and transfusion practices when antibodies in these blood groups are involved.
  • Discuss new findings in each of these blood group systems.
  • Illustrate structure and function of the blood group carrier protein.
