Professor Baker occupies a unique role in dental practice and education. She is a clinical pharmacist and is focused on patient-specific dental drug therapy. She lectures extensively on drug-related issues important in clinical dental practice.

Teaching Method: Lecture
This course will provide clinically useful information on identification and management of intra-oral effects and potential drug interactions with dental drugs. Drug-induced effects such as bruxism, ONJ and xerostomia will be discussed.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. List drugs known to cause bruxism, ONJ candidosis, and xerostomia
2. Discuss dental management of xerostomia, halitosis and mucositis
3. Recognize four chronic medications that may limit vasoconstrictor dosage
