Dr. Carpenter is professor and chair for the Department of Pathology and Medicine at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco. He has held this position since 1986.

Teaching Method: Lecture
There are many conditions that can occur as a result of maldevelopment of the dentition. These conditions will be described along with their restorative treatment from early tooth formation to eruption.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand the various stages of odontogenesis
2. Understand the different developmental defects that may occur
3. Be prepared to treat these dental defects
