Dr. Suzuki is associate dean and director of Graduate Periodontology Specialty Program at Temple University. He is also professor of Periodontology and Oral Implantology and professor of Microbiology and Immunology in the School of Medicine.

Teaching Method: Lecture
New trends and concepts in periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning using a biological basis for disease concepts. Enhanced with relevant clinical publications, decision making for non-surgical and surgical modalities of clinical treatment will be explored.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand diagnosis in today's era of bisphosphonates and bone metabolism
2. Relate biofilm development to immune response and periodontal pathogenesis
3. Use initial therapies, local drug deliveries and other current choices
