The resurgence of herbal medicine has produced confusion and conflict among health care providers and patients alike. We will examine the dental impact of common supplements and will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of many "natural" oral health products.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Describe valid medical uses for the top 30 dietary supplements and herbal medications
2. Recognize the dental impact of dietary supplements and herbal medications
3. Discuss the efficacy of "natural" treatments for common oral diseases
