Dr. Van Dyk maintains a full-time private practice, teaches in the Department of Dental Practice at the University of the Pacific, and lectures extensively to dentists and dental students on practice management issues and solutions.

Teaching Method: Lecture
This course teaches that there are three components of transitions in dental practice; the senior dentist, the new dentist and the patient. Each has a role to play to ensure that the practice stays successful and quality care continues.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Evaluate their needs prior to committing to a transition plan
2. Create a plan that involves the new dentist in continuing quality care
3. Accomplish a smooth transition with minimal stress and maximum savings
