Many things we learn about pediatric dentistry and treating children are myths that have persisted. Treating the child of the 21st century requires new techniques. Chemotherapeutic, behavioral and dietary caries prevention and treatment are discussed.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Develop a risk assessment based treatment plan for infants and children
2. Identify myths of pediatric dentistry that are not science- or evidence-based
3. Develop counseling and treatment skills for treating children and parents
