Dr. DeNucci has programmatic responsibility for three NIH funded dental practice-based research networks at the NIDCR Center for Clinical Research. He is board certified in periodontics and oral medicine and has been a clinician for over 36 years.

Dr. Ferracane is Professor and Chair of Restorative Dentistry, and Division Director of Biomaterials and Biomechanics at Oregon Health & Science University. He is actively involved in the establishment of networks designed to conduct clinical research in private dental practices.

Dr. Gillette practices in Bozeman, Mont. She conducts dental research through the research network NW PRECEDENT, as well as serving on the PRECEDENT Executive Board. She is a special editor to the Journal of Evidence-based Dental Practice and an ADA evidence reviewer.

Practice-based research holds great potential for answering questions that dentists face daily in the care of their patients. This course focuses on research in dental practices within the NW PRECEDENT Dental Practice-Base Research Network.
