“So soon we get old; so late we get smart.” Dentists write prescriptions by the thousands, often without valid indications. Antibiotic resistance is a growing problem, leading to a philosophical shift and recent changes in AHA and ADA/ASOS antibiotic protocols
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand the global problems created by improper antibiotic usage
2. Understand the rationale behind the major changes in the new AHA regimens
3. Understand why the timing and duration of prophylactic regimens is critical
