Dr. Haywood is a professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Georgia Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. He co-authored the first publication on nightguard vital bleaching (tray bleaching), and has published 135 articles and a book on bleaching.

Teaching Method: Lecture
Tooth bleaching has swept the country and includes older adults age 80 down to young children age ten. Indications and contraindications for each age group and tooth discoloration plus research on tray, in-office and over-the-counter bleaching will be stated.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Know age-specific recommendations for bleaching and safety issues
2. Know tray, in-office and over-the-counter bleaching as to efficacy and cost
3. Understand components of the bleaching examination and at-home tray options
