Dr. Convissar has 20 years' experience with all laser wavelengths. He has authored four textbooks and a dozen peer-reviewed papers on lasers. He practices laser, cosmetic and restorative dentistry in New York City, and serves as director of laser dentistry at New York Hospital Queens.

Review of the literature gives us biologic principles for clinical decisions on laser use, to be followed by detailed procedures for achieving superior results in:
Initial Therapy, Gingivectomy, Frenectomy, Osseous Surgery and
Guided Tissue Regeneration.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Use lasers for specific procedures in periodontics
2. Understand the biologic rationale for using lasers for periodontics
3. Select a wavelength appropriate for their specific practice
